Need a VIN Verification for your out of state vehicle?

A VIN Verification is required when registering your vehicle under the following circumstances.
  1. Registering an out of state or non-resident vehicle

California license VIN verifiers may verify the VIN numbers on all vehicles, with the following exceptions.
  1. Salvage vehicles
  2. Motorcycles with unavailable records
If you have a vehicle that requires a VIN CHECK do not delay, call a CA DMV licensed VIN verifier to perform your VIN inspection.
VIN verification at El Cajon DMV
If you have been to the EL Cajon DMV and ever tried to obtain a simple VIN verification, you probably know that the El Cajon DMV even make the VIN verification process painful. It is much easier and simpler to call on The Tag Stop to complete your VIN inspection for the following reasons.
  1. The Tag Stop has much more knowledge than the DMV inspectors at the El Cajon DMV.
  2. The wait to obtain your VIN inspection is virtually non-existent at The Tag Stop.
  3. The Tag Stop will take the time to search for the hard to find VIN numbers and motorcycle engine or case numbers.
  4. Your VIN verification will be error free when inspected by The Tag Stop
  5. If you have an oversize vehicle, The Tag Stop will accommodate you.
If you have a salvage vehicle and require a VIN VERIFICATION we provide this service, as well. How do we do this? We drive the vehicle to the DMV for you! And no we don’t go to the El Cajon DMV because we have found they are the worst inspectors in San Diego. We also performer the brake and lamp inspection at the same time.
